Patented Lindinger Hull

Ship owners around the world are confronted with major challenges the future entails: Rising fuel costs – as a major part of the operating costs and environmental challenges, posed by the IMO – to be met by 2020 – force ship owners even nowadays to place high investments. Margins on the other hand are low.

This relationship is the key to a successful competiveness and future prospect for ship owners.

The Inventor

Since 1997, Roland Lindinger (born in 1963), has considered challenges caused by high fuel consumption and environmental constraints. He carried out tests and feasibility studies concerning different but related core areas.

The basic idea of the Patented Lindinger Hull is to combine economy and ecology in order to relieve the environment for future generations.

The result is the Patented Lindinger Hull, which has proved to be the best practical solution, due to many designs and examinations at Scientific Institutes. The patented hull functions with all categories of commercial vessels, e.g. half-glider- and displacement hulls and brings fuel savings of up to 10 %.

Now, as the functionality and enhancement of the Patented Lindinger Hull is scientifically approved, Roland Lindinger and his team offer the granting of the license on the market worldwide.
